AHA Rules for Aligned Instructor Websites
If you are an American Heart Association (AHA) Aligned Instructor, your website and promotional materials must follow strict AHA Branding and Seal Usage Guidelines to maintain your authorization.
- Seal Usage Requirements
- The Aligned Instructor seal must be used in full with all three elements:
- AHA logo in the center with the ® symbol
- Red and gray circles surrounding the logo
- The text “Aligned Instructor” on the outside of the circle American Heart Association CPR & First Aid
- The seal must not be altered, cropped, or used in parts.
- It must always be accompanied by the line text identifying your affiliation:

- Website Display Rules
- The seal should be displayed clearly and prominently on your website, in line with AHA branding standards.
- Any promotional materials (e.g., brochures, social media posts, email signatures) linked from your website must also comply with the same seal and text requirements.
- You cannot use the seal or related branding without an active AHA Instructor Agreement American Heart Association CPR & First Aid.
- Compliance and Enforcement
- The primary responsibility for enforcing these standards lies with your Training Center (TC), but you must ensure your own website and materials meet them American Heart Association CPR & First Aid.
- Violations can lead to termination of your AHA Instructor Agreement American Heart Association CPR & First Aid.
- If your authorization expires, you must immediately remove all uses of the seal from your website and related materials American Heart Association CPR & First Aid.
- Related Alignment Rules
- You can be aligned with up to two training centers at a time, but each alignment must be documented and approved by both the AHA and the TC Ready Response PA.
- If you transfer alignment, the new TC must monitor your teaching and ensure compliance with AHA standards Ready Response PA.

- Keep your website updated with the correct seal and affiliation text.
- Avoid using unofficial or modified versions of the seal.

In short, your aligned instructor website must display the full, unaltered AHA Aligned Instructor seal with the correct affiliation text, in compliance with AHA standards, and you must remove it immediately if your authorization ends.
